It requires 87 years to become Freedom Fighter

In the Tribune, there is a report about a controversy which has risen when the Deputy Commissioner Amritsar at present, had located files related to 489 persons killed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

He had reported to the present government that a committee convened by the then provincial government had awarded compensation in 1921 ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 20,000 which if compared with the price of gold on the current prices comes to Rs 20 lakh to one crore.
