If I am able to recollect it right, then first came the Neanderthal man, then Homo Erectus and finally the Homo Sapiens. Neanderthal man died before Second ICE AGE. This is how the geologists, archaeologists and anthropologist tell us.
However, a new report published in The Independent London, and reproduced by The Tribune Chandigarh, it is told that Neanderthal man had the potential to eliminate the Homo Sapiens and survive the evolution. The report states, “It is time for archaeologists to start searching for other reasons why Neanderthals became extinct,… .”
Further it has given a startling conclusion that “it is likely that the two species of humans competed against each other for limited resources in the same habitat, with Homo sapiens being the victor.” It suggests that the competition was not one sided and there could have been a possibility that the result could have been different.
