Buddhist Stupas in Chenab bed

Check for the news here. The report is about the successful excavation by ASI of Buddhist stupas in Akhnoor District of J&K which were located in 2000.

I am not expert on Ancient History but I feel pained when I listen to Medievalists who boldly say that Buddhism was destroyed by competing Hindu Religion. Hieun Tsang wrote about Buddhist Viahara in 630 AD. The issue of deconstruction of Indian history as written by Imperialist school remains. However, Bharat as a nation, is not ready to construct a history as per the craft of history that is appreciated by Western world.

Old Maps in Exhibition

Nothing much to write at present. However, check this news here. The so called rationalist discards many things which are old. There are scholars who question the very boundaries of India before 1947 (read medievalists on India History). Similarly, there are political thinkers even others who point out that the term 'nation' is a new notion which Adam Smith used in his Wealth of Nation in 1797. But the cartographers saw differently. I have not visited the exhibit but I can visualize what is being displayed there.
