Sleeping With Indian Women to Beat the Heat

Pran Neville has brought off beat articles. I remember that it was he who had talked about Master Madan, a singing sensation child a year or two back.

Similarly, Spectrum, an Sunday magazine of The Tribune, Chandigarh, comes every Sunday with off beat articles which are prefect examples of History in News.

Last Sunday, that was August 17, 2008, in the Spectrum Magazine of The Tribune, Pran Neville had surveyed the cooling devices which were used by the Colonial Rulers in India during eighteenth and nineteenth century. The article is titled as BEATING THE HEAT, COOLING TALES FROM THE RAJ.

It is worth reading from Historic Thinking process with some nasty ideas and not that so good conclusions about the demographic mixture of the effected region that one of the suggestion of beating the heat was to sleep with Bengali Women.
